Pizza paratha recipe

Pizza paratha is delicious Indian bread with pizza flavour and cheese that kids will love it for sure.

Ingredients

For the paratha:

  • 2 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tsp oil
  • salt to taste
  • water as needed

For the inner stuffing:

  • 1/4 cup onion(finely chopped)
  • 1/4 cup capsicum(finely chopped) (I used green and red capsicum)
  • 1/4 cup steam cooked baby corn(sliced)
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp pizza sauce
  • 1/3 cup grated cheese
  • oil to toast

Instructions

  • In a wide mixing bowl add wheat flour, salt and first give a quick mix for salt to be even. Then add water little by little, gather to form a soft pliable dough.Once it is gathered to a mass add 1 tsp oil and knead it once.The dough should not be too tight or too loose, it should be non sticky at this stage.
  • To a mixing bowl, add onion,capsicum add salt to it.Set aside for 5mins.
  • It will let out water, strain it.Now add oregano and chilli flakes.
  • Mix well and set aside.Now make 2 lemon sized balls.
  • Flour the surface and roll the dough thin.Spread pizza sauce on one paratha.
  • First sprinkle 1 tbsp of cheese.Then spoon the filling,sprinkle more cheese to cover the filling.
  • Now place another paratha on it and seal the edges by folding inwards as shown in the pic.
  • Heat dosa tawa,carefully place the paratha on the tawa.Drizzle oil and cook on both the sides until golden brown spots appear here and there.Cut into wedges and serve!

Notes

  • You can add any veggies of your choice.
  • I added steam cooked baby corn, you can add sweet corn,mushroom etc.
