Ingredients

  • 1/8 cup milk powder
  • 1/8 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1 and 1/2 tablespoon dark cocoa powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla essence

*You can replace dark cocoa with normal coco powder

    Instructions

    • To a mixing bowl - add milk powder and coco powder. Mix well and set aside.
    • Heat a sauce pan with 2 cups of water, when water boils rigorously take a heat proof bowl and keep on the sauce pan so that the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
    • Simmer the flame - then add butter.
    • Once butter melts add powdered sugar immediately.
    • Use a whisk and mix well without lumps, now add milk powder coco mixture. Mix it.
    • Add vanilla essence and switch off. Do not overcook. Now fill the chocolate moulds with the chocolate mixture. Press well with a spoon.
    • Refrigerate for 30mins, then demould and serve. Enjoy Dark Chocolate Fudge!

    Notes

    • These chocolates seems to be hard when taken out from the fridge but when you bit it will be soft and fudgy.
    • If the climate is hot I will recommend storing them in fridge incase if you have anything remaining.
    • You can replace dark cocoa with normal coco powder too in that case add 2 tablespoon coco powder to get that intense chocolate flavour.
    • I tried with both silicon moulds and plastic sheets but silicon mould is a winner for me.
    • When butter starts to melt and is in liquid state, start the process, be quick else butter will turn to ghee and the taste will not be good.
