Strawberry Milk Recipe

Strawberry Milk is a simple flavourful drink made using fresh strawberry sauce and milk. It is a quick milk made with strawberry puree and mixed with chilled milk which tastes delicious. It has mild sweet taste with fresh fruity flavour and feels very refreshing to drink. The colour also comes light pink and looks very appealing in glass.

Ingredients

  • 10 nos strawberries chopped roughly
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 2 cups milk

Instructions

  • Take milk in a sauce pan, boil it and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Rinse strawberries well, remove the leaf and the center.
  • Chill the milk.
  • Chop strawberries roughly, puree it. You can puree it fine or chunky as per your preference.
  • Now take this in a pan and allow it for a boil may be for 2 minutes not more than that. Switch off and add honey.
  • Mix well now your instant strawberry sauce is ready. Cool down completely.
  • Take a cup of chilled milk, add 2 teaspoon strawberry sauce to it and mix well. Serve Strawberry Milk immediately.

Notes

  • Cooking strawberries – I usually cook strawberry puree for few minutes and it helps to thicken. Do not overcook as it may loose flavour.
  • Cooling properly – I cool down both milk and sauce. Hot mixture may curdle milk so be careful.
  • Adjusting sweetness – I tasted and then added honey and adjusted as needed. You can change based on your need.
  • Texture choice – I sometimes strain the puree and gives smooth texture without pulp. You can keep it if you like.
  • Storing sauce – I keep extra sauce in fridge and it can be used later anytime. It stays good for few days.
