Ingredients

  • 2 and ½ cups water
  • ½ cup mint leaves
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • salt to taste
  • ice cubes as needed

Instructions

  • To a mixer jar add ½ cup mint leaves.
  • Add 3 tablespoon sugar, 1 teaspoon ginger.
  • Add ½ cup water.
  • Blend it fine and set aside.
  • Take 2 cups chilled water.
  • Place a strainer on it then add the prepared juice.
  • Press and strain the juice. Discard the remains.
  • Add ¼ cup lemon juice.
  • Add salt to taste.
  • Mix it well.
  • To the serving glass add the prepared lemon mint juice.
  • Add ice cubes, lemon slices and a sprig of mint leaves.
  • Serve chilled!

  • Lemon Juice – Use fresh lemon juice for best flavor. Add lemon juice after straining to avoid any bitterness.
  • Mint leaves – Use fresh, vibrant mint leaves. Add only the leaves for a fresh minty flavor. Avoid stems as they can make the juice slightly bitter.
  • Grinding – Grind with a small amount of water first to get a smooth paste. This helps release the flavor of mint and ginger better.
  • Straining – Always strain the mixture for a smooth, clear juice. It removes chunks and gives a better drinking experience.
  • Sweetness – You can adjust the sweetness to your preference. If you prefer a less sugary drink, start with a small amount of sugar and increase gradually.
