Gummy Bear Popsicle Recipe

Gummy Bear Popsicle is a colourful frozen treat made by freezing lemon juice mixture along with gummy bear candies inside moulds. It looks bright and fun because the jellies are visible through the ice. The taste is mildly sweet with slight tang from lemon juice. It feels light and refreshing during hot days.

Ingredients

  • 30 nos gummy bears I used a packet of just jelly
  • 1 ½ cups water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoon sugar

Instructions

  • To a mixing bowl add water, then add sugar.
  • Add lemon juice, mix well until sugar completely dissolves.
  • Now take your popsicle mold, add gummy bears almost till ¾th of each mold.
  • Add lemon juice to it till rim of each of mold. Close with lid.
  • Freeze for at least 6-8 hrs. Then show the mold under running tap water and demold the popsicles and serve immediately. Enjoy Gummy Bear Popsicle!

Notes

  • Dissolving sugar – I usually stir for few minutes so no sugar settles at bottom until fully dissolved. 
  • Filling moulds – I usually leave little space at top as liquid expands slightly when freezing. Do not to overfill the mould with liquid. 
  • Adding gummies – I fill about three fourth of mould before pouring lemon mix. Add enough gummy bears so they are visible properly. 
  • Freezing time – I freeze for minimum 6 to 8 hours so it becomes firm. Do not remove popsicles too early. 
  • Demoulding – I usually do this gently so popsicle comes out easily without breaking. Show the mould under running tap water for few seconds.
