Mango Popsicle Recipe

Mango Popsicle is a flavorful and delicious dessert perfect as a summer treat for all mango lovers. Easy and flavorful mango popsicle made with just 4 main ingredients. Learn to make Mango Popsicle with step by step pictures and video.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium sized mangoes I used alphonso mango variety
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 cardamom

Instructions

  • Rinse 2 medium sized mangoes well cut and scoop the pulp and discard the skin.
  • Scoop out all the fleshy pulp part from the mangoes.
  • Add 2 tablespoon sugar to it. Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of the mangoes.
  • Add 1 cardamom(skin removed).
  • Add 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup water to it.
  • Blend until smooth and creamy like this.
  • Pour into popsicle molds. You can use paper cups or small steel steel tumblers too if you don't have popsicle molds.
  • Leave at least 1/2 inch space on top.
  • Cover with aluminium foil. Slit a small hole using a knife for the ice cream sticks to be inserted.
  • Insert ice cream sticks. Freeze for 8 hours minimum. I usually freeze it overnight.
  • Remove from freezer and dip the outside of the mold in water.
  • Remove the foil. Gently pull out the popsicles.
  • Mango popsicles are ready!
  • Enjoy immediately!

Notes

  • You can use paper cups for freezing too .If you have popsicle moulds then use them.
  • Freezing for atleast 8 hrs is required but I kept it overnight.
  • For easy demolding - show the popsicle moulds in warm water or dip theoutside of the mold in water then pull the stick out slowly to get the ice pops clean.
  • Adjust sugar according to the sweetness of the fruit.
  • I used alphonsa mangoes, you can use any variety of mango you like.
  • Variations : If you don't like cardamom flavor replace with little saffron soaked in milk.
  • Replace 1/2 cup water with 1/2 cup milk for more creamier version.
  • Add coconut milk or fresh cream for a more rich version.
