Orange Juice Recipe

Orange Juice is a refreshing drink made by blending oranges with sugar or without sugar. Nothing can beat a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Orange Juice Recipe is explained in this post with step by step pictures and video.

Ingredients

Orange Juice Recipe

  • 4 oranges
  • 2 teaspoon sugar

Carrot Orange Juice Recipe

  • 2 small carrots
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 small lemon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ice cubes as needed

Instructions

Orange Juice

  • First take 2 oranges that is ripe. Rub it few times - this is for the juice to be extracted well.
  • Slice each orange into half.
  • Take a manual juicer, I use a steel juicer which has sharp edges which extracts juice well and easily.
  • Place one half of the orange and start pressing and rotating to squeeze the juice. If you don't have this manual juicer - just half the oranges, remove the seeds using the knife then start squeezing the orange in a bowl.
  • Squeeze until the juice is completely extracted.
  • If you like pulpy orange juice you can add some of the collected pulp to the juice from here.Discard the seeds, at the bottom the juice will be collected.
  • Fresh orange juice is ready!
  • First trim the edges of the orange.
  • Cut in the center.
  • Cut open like this. Remove the seeds.
  • Collect the pulp alone and add to a mixer jar. I added pulp from 2 oranges.
  • Add 2 teaspoon sugar to it. This is purely optional skip if you do not want to add sugar.
  • Blend it few times in intervals, do not blend more else it will turn bitter. Now pour the juice to a strainer.
  • Press with a spoon to extract the juice completely.
  • Press and extract the juice completely.
  • Orange juice is ready!
  • Pour into serving glass and enjoy!
  • Add ice cubes if you like to have chilled orange juice!

Carrot Orange Juice

  • Wash carrots, peel off the skin and trim the edges.Now chop them into bite sized pieces.Peel off the skin of oranges, remove the white fiber part and take only the pulp.In a mixer - add carrots, orange, sugar and icecubes and blend it well till smooth.Strain in a metal strainer.
  • Press it with a spoon to get the juice completely.Then add lemon juice.Serve immediately.
  • Serve chilled.

Notes

  • Choose oranges that are fresh, sweet and ripe to avoid sugar.
  • You can also add juice from 1 small lemon for a lemony orange juice.
  • Add a small piece ginger while blending for a unique flavor.
  • Add warm spices like cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg etc for a different flavor.
  • You can even add carrots for a more tasty juice.
  • Do not blend oranges for more time as it might turn bitter. Just blend for few seconds in intervals.
  • Keep the oranges in fridge before extracting juice to have chilled orange juice without adding ice cubes.
  • Always remove the seeds the white fiber part before adding to mixer.
