Shikanji | Nimbu Pani

Shikanji is a spicy, refreshing drink made by blending lemon extract with spices, sugar & salt. Shikanji is usually made in large quantity & refrigerated to beat the heat of the summer in a natural way and is healthy compared to the carbonated drinks.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 nos lemon
  • 2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon black salt
  • 2-3 nos lemon slices for garnish
  • salt to taste
  • few mint leaves for garnish
  • few icecubes

Instructions

  • Add 2 cups of water, add lemon juice to it. Add sugar.
  • Mix well until sugar is completely dissolved. Add roasted jeera powder, black salt and salt.
  • Mix well. Get ready with all your ingredients. Take your serving glasses, add ice cubes.
  • Pour lemon juice. Add lemon slice and mint leaves and serve Shikanji chilled.
