Pista Ice Cream

Pista Ice Cream is a yummy, flavoursome dessert made by blending fresh cream with powdered pistachios, essence & freezing it. Pista Ice Cream at home is a bliss after weekend lunch and making it is fairly simple.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup full fat fresh cream
  • 3/4 cup condensed milk If you are using store bought then 1/2 cup is enough
  • 1 teaspoon pista essence
  • 1.5 tablespoon pistachios
  • 2 teaspoon pistachios chopped

Instructions

  • In a dry mixer jar, take pistachios grind to a coarse mixture, set aside. Get ready with all your ingredients.
  •  In a mixing bowl, take fresh cream whisk for 3 seconds or until thick and creamy. Now add condensed milk.
  • Whisk it for even mixing just for 2 seconds. Now add coarse pistachio mixture, then add chopped pistachios.
  • Add pista essence. Mix well using a spatula.
  • Pour into freezer safe container. Freeze it at least for 8 hours.
  • Scoop and serve Pista Ice Cream immediately!

Notes

  • If you don't have a electric beater its ok you can just whisk with a hand whisk or egg beater but it will take some time.
  • Do not beat the cream for more time just few seconds ins enough else it will turn into butter.
  • If you are using store bought condensed milk then you can add just 1/2 cup as I used homemade 3/4 cup was needed.
  • I had pista elachi essence which had green color too. If you have just pista essence you can add that too.
