  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  • Take rolled oats in a pan, toast it for 5mins in low flame.
  • Transfer to a mixing bowl. Add rice krispies to it.
  • Crush the M and M candies and add to it (Reserve few for topping). I crushed using my chapathi roller. Give a quick mix and set aside.
  • Take butter in a pan, add brown sugar to it.
  • Add honey, then add peanut butter to it.
  • Heat it up until it melts. Cook in low flame until it bubbles up now add oats mixture to it.
  • I forgot to add vanilla essence so added it now. Give a quick stir, add chopped nuts.
  • Mix well until everything is combined well. Transfer the mixture to a tin, level it using the back of a spoon.
  • Sprinkle the remaining m and m candies and press it. Refrigerate it for at least 30mins.I used aluminum foil on the baking tray for easy demolding. Carefully remove it from the tin.
  • Cut into small bars and enjoy M&M Granola Bars.

Notes

  • You can replace M and M candies with gems.
  • You can add the candies as such if you are using mini ones. I crushed and added the candies so it gets blended well with the bars.
  • I placed the candies inside a zip lock bag and crushed it using a chapathi roller.
  • Refrigerate until serving time. Keeps well even for about a week in fridge.
  • I have used cane sugar and you can follow the recipe with regular sugar.
