Roasted Melon Seeds

Roasted Melon Seeds are healthy, crispy snack made by sauteeing melon seeds with spices. Roasted Melon Seeds are great option of snack for evening tea time and healthy compared to the packed junk foods.

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • ½ cup melon seeds
  • 1 teaspoon piri piri masala
  • 1 teaspoon cheese seasoning
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  • Add a teaspoon of oil. Measure and add melon seeds to a pan. Roast it in low flame.
  • Roast until golden. Switch off.
  • Add seasoning of your choice. I chose piri piri and cheese seasoning.
  • Add both the the seasoning along with salt.
  • Mix well until the masalas coat evenly.Enjoy or store for later use.
  • Store Roasted Melon Seeds in a clean dry jar.

Notes

  • Make sure to roast melon seeds evenly in low flame else it might get burnt easily.
  • The seasoning is purely your choice.You can even use regular indian spice powders like red chilli powder, garam masala powder to spice it up.
  • You can even use pizza seasoning or any italian seasoning if you like the flavour.
  • I have used watermelon seeds you can use any seed you want.
  • Make sure to add seasoning only after switching off.
  • For baking : Bake in preheated oven at 200 deg C for 5-7 mins, keep an eye and keep tossing in between.
