Homemade chocolate syrup recipe, just mix with milk and serve or can be used as dessert topping too.

  • To a sauce pan - add cane sugar and cocoa powder.
  • Add salt to it.Whisk well.Add water to it.
  • Whisk well without any lumps.Bring to a boil and simmer for 5-10 mins.
  • Let it bubble up and become like a sauce.It will start to become thick.Switch off.Do not boil more it might give bitter taste.

  • See this is the consistency.Cool down completely then strain through metal strainer.
  • Now add vanilla essence to it,mix well.Store in a clean dry bottle.Mix to hot or chilled milk and serve.
  • Serve hot or chilled!

Notes

For 1 cup milk you can 2 tsp chocolate syrup or as per taste.For chilled milk you may need to add little more.
