Caramel Coffee

Caramel Coffee is an aromatic, sweeter version of coffee made by caramelizing sugar & simmering it with milk & coffee powder. Caramel Coffee can be made on relaxed weekends & holidays and for Hi-Tea of small parties. The flavours of caramel & coffee makes you go for more!

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon instant coffee powder
  • 3 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon water

Instructions

  • To a pan - add sugar to it and heat it up. Do not disturb. It will slowly dissolve.
  • The color changes to light brown at this stage add a teaspoon of water, swirl the pan and switch off. Do not burn the caramel syrup.
  • Add this caramel syrup to a coffee mug, add instant coffee powder to it.
  • Mix well and set aside. Boil milk.
  • Add it to the mug and mix well with a spoon. Pour into another tumbler and froth it.
  • Serve Caramel Coffee hot!

Notes

  • Add coffee powder according to your preference. If you want strong coffee then add 2 teaspoon. I wanted the caramel flavour to be more dominant so added less coffee powder.
