  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar

Instructions

  • How to make simple syrup using white sugar
  • Add 1 cup water to a sauce pan along with 1 cup sugar and let it to boil. I am making in bulk to store this simple syrup in fridge.
  • Mix it well until sugar dissolves completely.
  • Boil for 3-5 minutes and switch off. No consistency needs to be checked.
  • Strain using a metal strainer to remove impurities if any. Cool down completely.
  • Store in a clean dry bottle.

How to make simple syrup using cane sugar

  • To a sauce pan - add 1 cup cane sugar or brown sugar.
  • Add 1 cup water to it. Whisk it well until sugar dissolves completely.
  • Boil for 3-5 minutes. No consistency needs to be checked.
  • Switch off.
  • Strain and store the syrup in a clean dry bottle.

Notes

  • Do not make the syrup too thick as it will thicken after cooling down.
  • Keep in mind it should be slightly sticky and syrupy that's it.
  • You can use white sugar or cane sugar as per your preference.
  • Sugar Syrup can also be flavored with essence of rose, vanilla, blueberry or any flavor of your choice.
