Gud Ki Chai

Gud Ki Chai is a refreshing, spicy drink made by replacing sugar with jaggery in the making of regular tea and flavouring it with spices. Gud Ki Chai is a must try at home regularly if you like the taste or once awhile as it is healthy & gives a break to the routine.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon tea powder
  • 8 nos pepper corns
  • 1/2 no cardamom
  • 1.5 teaspoon jaggery powder

Instructions

  • Crush cardamom along with pepper to a coarse mixture, set aside. Boil water.
  • Add tea powder to it, then add crushed mixture. Let it boil.
  • Boil for at least 2 mins then add milk to it.
  • Boil for a minute, let it come to a rolling boil. Swirl the pan and simmer for a minute.
  • Add jaggery powder and switch off. Strain and serve hot!
  • Froth it and Serve Gud Ki Chai hot !
