Chapati Ladoo | Roti Ladoo (Leftover Chapati Recipes)

Chapati Ladoo is a tasty sweet made using leftover chapati. Chapati Ladoo is a surprise treat for kids for snack box to school and evening snacks that they will ask for more. Ingredients

  • 6 small chapathis around 6 inches in diameter
  • 3 tablespoon jaggery powder
  • 2 tablespoon ghee melted
  • 1.5 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions

  • Take leftover around 6 rotis / chapathis.
  • Tear it roughly.
  • Transfer to a dry mixer jar.
  • Add 3 tablespoon jaggery to it.
  • Grind to a coarse mixture.
  • Transfer to a mixing bowl. Add 1 and 1/2 tablespoon almonds along with 2 tablespoon ghee and a pinch of cardamom powder.
  • Mix it well.
  • Take the mixture press, hold tight and shape them as ladoos.
  • Chapati ladoo is ready. Repeat to finish.
  • Chapati ladoo is ready to serve. Store in a clean dry container.

Notes

  • You can use leftover chapathis or can make fresh chapathi too.
  • Keeps well for 2 days in room temperature.
  • I added chopped almonds you can add other nuts like cashews too. If your kid is reluctant and picky about nuts then powder it along with chapathi itself.
  • You can replace jaggery with cane sugar or regular sugar too. If you are using white sugar then reduce it a little may be 2.5 tablespoon would be enough.
  • I used oil free phulkas made in tawa for this recipe.
