Ingredients

  • 1 medium sized mango
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 lemon wedge

Instructions

  • Rinse the mango, scrap the skin.
  • Chop the mango roughly and add it to the mixer jar. Add sugar.
  • Add lemon juice. Blend it to a smooth puree. Pour this in a freezer safe container.
  • Keep covered and freeze it for at least 6-8 hours preferably overnight.
  • Next day using a fork scrap and serve immediately.
  • Serve Mango Granita chilled!

Notes

  • Fork helps to scrap and give nice texture than a spoon so I recommend using a fork to scrap.
  • If you want you can add 1/4 cup water to thin the mixture. I prefer using just the fruit for mango so tried it this way.
  • Adjust sugar according to the sourness of mango.
  • Choose pulpy less fiber mango.
  • Freezing for at least 6 hrs is required but I kept it overnight.
