Mango Jam

Mango Jam is a yummy & delicious spread made by simmering mango pulp with lemon extract & sugar to a jam consistency. Mango Jam is a handy ingredient to spread on bread, chapati & dosa and kids favorite.

Ingredients

  • 2 mangoes chopped roughly
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  • Grind the mango cubes in a mixie until smooth.
  • In a nonstick pan , add mango puree, sugar and lime juice.
  • Keep stirring for at least 15-25mins the water mixture will collect to a jam consistency.
  • The mixture will turn glossy at this stage. Switch off.
  • Cool completely and store Mango Jam in a clean airtight container. Keep refrigerated after a day!

Notes

  • Be careful in checking the consistency of the jam.
  • Choose a ripe deep yellow mango variety.
