Instant Bajra Sweet Porridge is a healthy, quick porridge made by simmering bajra flour with water, jaggery and milk to a thick consistency. Instant Bajra Sweet Porridge is a dietary meal which keeps us filled for long and relished with chutney, onions and chillies.

  • To a vessel add bajra powder and water. Whisk well so that there are no lumps now keep on stove and switch on. Keep stirring without leaving to avoid lumps.
  • Meanwhile prepare the syrup: add palm jaggery and water. Mix well let it melt completely, no need to check for any consistency, Set aside to cool.
  • Keep stirring until it becomes thick and shiny. It will take around 5-7 mins to reach this consistency.
  • At one stage it will coat the ladle, turn shiny and thick. At this stage strain and add the syrup. Mix well then add cardamom powder.
  • Mix well. Now add milk and whisk well, if you prefer to make it a bit runny then add little water.
  • Serve Instant Bajra Sweet Porridge hot or warm.
