Biryani Masala Recipe | Biryani Masala Powder

Biryani Masala is a flavourful, spiced ingredient made by grinding 15+ roasted spices along with Biryani leaf to a fine powder. Biryani Masala Powder is handy ingredient for making biryani and spice meals, gravies and chaats.

Ingredients

  • 3 nos kashmiri chillies
  • 3 tablespoon coriander seeds
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon jeera
  • 1 tablespoon cloves
  • 4 nos cinnamon sticks
  • 8 nos cardamom
  • 3 nos bayleaf
  • 2 nos marati moggu
  • 1 teaspoon stone flower
  • 2 nos star anise
  • 1 no black cardamom
  • 1 tablespoon mace
  • 1/2 tablespoon nutmeg crushed

Instructions

  • Add all the ingredients except nutmeg to a pan, dry roast until fragrant and slightly golden.
  • Cool down then transfer to a mixer jar, add crushed nutmeg. Grind to a slightly coarse mixture.
  • Transfer to a plate, spread it well. Cool down then store in a clean dry jar.
  • Biryani Masala Powder keeps well for at least 6 months.
