Capsicum Sandwich

Capsicum Sandwich is a non-spicy, crispy outside soft inside meal made by pan roasting bread stuffed with chopped capsicum, onion, spices& cheese. Capsicum Sandwich is a simple & quick dish ideal to make on busy schedules and relaxed weekends. Capsicum Sandwich when tossed with pizza seasoning mimics the flavours of pizza.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 1/4 cup capsicum
  • 1 tablespoon onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon mixed herbs
  • 1/4 teaspoon pizza seasoning
  • salt to taste
  • 1 cube cheese
  • butter as needed

Instructions

  • To a  bowl add capsicum, onion and crushed pepper.
  • Add mixed herbs, pizza seasoning and required salt.
  • Add half of cheese and give a quick mix. Take 4 bread slices, add the capsicum cheese mixture in each slice.
  • Add remaining cheese on top. Seal with other bread. Press slightly.
  • Add mixed herbs, pizza seasoning and required salt. Apply butter on top. Preheat sandwich maker as per the instructions in the manual, Grease it well with butter.
  • Keep the bread slices on it. Close and Grill it for 3 mins or until the top turns golden. Slice and serve.
  • Serve Capsicum Sandwich hot with ketchup.
