Ragi Sweet Idiyappam

Ragi Sweet Idiyappam is a fluffy, mild tiffin made by steaming ragi flour and blending it with coconut & jaggery. Ragi Sweet Idiyappam is relished with Coconut milk & stew for breakfast or dinner. Ragi Sweet Idiyappam is light & filling dish that is a must try at home for its taste.

Ingredients

  • 1 and 1/2 cups ragi idiyappam or ragi semiya
  • 2 tablespoon sugar I used cane sugar
  • 3 tablespoon coconut
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 1/8 teaspoon cardamom powder

Instructions

  • Make ragi idiyappam first. You can use readymade ragi sevai too, make it as per pack instructions and proceed. I used homemade ragi idiyappam. Let it cool down for a while. Separate it.
  • Now add sugar and coconut to it. I used cane sugar you can use regular sugar or jaggery syrup too.
  • Add a teaspoon of ghee and cardamom powder. Mix well.
  • Serve Ragi Sweet Idiyappam warm!

Notes

  • You can either use homemade idiyappam or use ready ragi sevai for this recipe.
  • Do not make it too dry, add sugar and coconut as needed which makes it moist and tasty.
