Whole Wheat Choco Chip Muffins is tasty and healthy that you can serve for breakfast or for snack.I always look for healthy baked goodies to pack for mittus snackbox and when I saw this here I tried it out immediately.It was a such a hit among the kids and ofcourse with elders too.Amma loved it so much and kept talking about the muffins as it was so soft and did not miss anything inspite of whole wheat flour and honey.

Eggless choco chip muffins recipe
Whole Wheat Choco Chip Muffins
Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 and 1/4 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 no egg
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup choco chips
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
Instructions
- To a mixing bowl - add egg, then add melted butter.
- Add honey, milk and vanilla essence.
- Whisk to form a smooth mix then add wheat flour.
- Add baking powder and salt. Whisk well.
- Add chocolate chips. Do not over mix, just fold in.
- Using a ice cream scooper scoop out the batter and fill in the muffin liners till 3/4th. Sprinkle little choco chips on top.
- Bake in preheated oven at 180 deg C for 20-25 mins.
- Serve Whole Wheat Choco Chips Muffins warm with a cup of milk!
Notes
- I used jumbo choco chips as I had only that in hand. You can use even regular choco chips.
- Though the kids enjoyed the muffins I felt it a bit sweeter for my tastebuds so next time I am planning to reduce choco chips.
