Tredyfoods.com opens doors for an impressive walk through around traditional foods of our country. They deliver traditional, native and unique snacks, sweets and healthy bites that are available over different parts of our country at your doorsteps.

Not only food but they have a variety of traditional kitchenware and cookware collection too. When I browsed their website I loved thier iron dosa tawa and coffee filter very much so chose those for review.Additionally they sent me few packs of ready to cook masala paste and coffee powder too. These days I am going crazy collecting traditional cookwares so I was really very happy receiving these from tredyfoods for review.

The packing was intact and they delivered within 2 days.

You can browse all their products and shop from here. You can check their international store here as rhey even ship internationally.

This brass coffee filter is unique and has an antique style and makes filter coffee in the South Indian drip style.First when I saw the pic in their website thought it would be very lite but after seeing it in person it proved my assumption wrong.Yes it is sturdy and the finish is so good that it would last a lifetime. It is medium sized  and can make atleast 1 cup(250ml) of decotion at a time. You can easily clean it too.

The upper compartment just fixes in the lower part so its easy to take it out especially when it is too hot which I liked the best.If it is too tight then after pouring hot water it will be difficult to pull out the upper part which is the difficulty I face in the one I have now.

See how beautifully it drips.Thick decotion collecting in the lower compartment.

This dosa tawa comes without seasoning, but gets easily seasoned within a  day or 2.It took me 2 days for it to get fully seasoned.I already have a cast iron dosa tawa so chose this one and this is equally as good as the cast iron one I’ve been using for years.I loved the texture of the dosa made with this tawa. The dosa tawa is 33.8cm*3cm*29.5cm (L*B*H) quite a big one best for making ghee roast sized dosas. You can make small dosas/oothapams too.

I tell u this dosa tawa  is heavy but cooks evenly so the dosa comes out crisp and works like nonstick after seasoning.Actually the thicker the base its good as it doesn’t stick and gives good results.I tested with oothapam, adai and roast dosa, all came out perfect.

I wanted to show the thickness of the tawa(first pic).Look at that beautiful crisp dosa made using this tawa.

Coming to the ready to cook masala paste, it is very easy to use during our rush hours. All you have to do is to just add the masala paste fry in oil and add veggies or chicken or mutton or even egg, add required water and boil it.Tada the gravy is ready. If you prefer you can add onion tomato.

The masala paste is semi wet and the flavour is good and intense. You can use it for many varieties of gravies.

I used pepper masala and made pepper mutton, it was so quick. If you want to relax on a sunday and spend more time with your loved ones then this masala is a boon without much compromise in the taste.
