This Poriyal is a quick stir fry made with beans and pairs up well as a great sidedish for riec and sambar.

Beans Poriyal
Ingredients
- 10 to 15 beans chopped finely
- 2 tablespoon moong dal
- 2 tablespoon coconut grated
- 1 onions finely chopped
- salt to taste
To temper:
- 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon urad dal
- a pinch hing /perungayam
- few curry leaves
- 1 green chillies slitted into half
- 1 teaspoon oil
Instructions
- Pressure cook moong dhal for a whistle and keep aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds, let it splutter.
- Now add urad dal, curry leaves and hing.
- Add onions, green chillies, and saute till it turns slightly browned.
- Add the beans and saute for 3mins.
- Now sprinkle water and allow it to cook.
- Keep closed in medium flame until beans becomes soft, and then add salt to taste.
- Keep in low flame to avoid burning.
- Once beans is cooked add moong dal and give a stir.
- Add coconut and switch off.
- Serve Beans Poriyal with rice!
How to make Beans Poriyal

By the way I guess you missed out adding onion here in the method… anyway I added it before adding beans and sauted a lil..
