Curd Rice, Pickle

Today’s travel lunch menu is Garlic Rice,Curd Rice, Vadam and Pickle – Poondu Sadam,Thayir Sadam,Vadam,Oorugai

I wanted to resume this travel series last year itself, but carrying gugu I was so exhausted and tired that I couldn’t even think of this travel recipes so this year planning to post atleast few ideas to keep this series going.

I was thinking of recipes for travel lunch and made this quick lunch menu yesterday and clicked it.As garlic rice is little spicy, I included curd rice too but its your preference.I chose garlic rice as it would be easy to prepare the spice powder the previous day itself so on the day of packing just make rice and mix it up and do the tadka.

Vadam

My Notes:

  • Add little milk  while mixing curd rice so that it doesn’t get sour.
  • You can either pack homemade pickle or use readymade small pickle sachets.
  • You can make the spice powder previous day itself. It keeps well in room temperature for a week.
