Moth bean sundal recipe a quick healthy sundal for Navratri.Moth beans is also known as matki.This sundal needs no soaking so no worries if you forget to prior soak any bean.

Do try this easy variety of sundal this Navratri 2019.

Moth bean sundal recipe a quick and healthy sundal

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup moth bean
  • 2 tbsp coconut
  • water as needed
  • salt to taste

To temper:

  • 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1/4 tsp urad dal
  • a pinch hing
  • 1 no red chilli
  • few curry leaves

Instructions

  • Rinse moth bean until water is clear, drain and add it to a pan along with water and required salt.Add water only till immersing level.
  • Mash to check, should not be mushy at the same time when you press it should be soft.Set aside, do not strain water.To a pan - heat oil add the items listed under 'to temper' let it splutter.
  • Saute till dal turn golden then add cooked bean along with water.Saute for a minute.
  • Let the water absorb, add required salt.Mix well then add coconut give a quick saute and switch off.
