    Yellow moong dal – Moong dal Mogar – i dont tamil name for it
    Bay leaf is also called "Tej Patta"
    black cardamom – Badi Elaichi
    Coriander seeds is also called "Sabat Dhaniya"
    Poppy seeds another name " Khus Khus/postadana"
    Spinach – Palak

    @Aparna : Aniseed is other name for fennel seeds(sombu)…omam is ajwain. Hope this clears! 🙂

    One suggestion, make the above list of food ingredient names alphabetical, would be easier for searching for the users as the list gets bigger 🙂
