My Notes:

  • The actual french toast rollups is with eggs but I made it eggles no specific reason just felt to make it eggless thats it.You can very well replace the custard powder milk mixture with just eggs and vanilla essence.
  • Adjust sugar according to your taste.I used milk bread so I skipped any sugar to the milk mixture. As we have sugar coating it was apt.
  • You can replace white sugar with demerara sugar too.
  • Mittu is not fond of cinnamon flavour so I added coco powder but its your preference purely.
  • While dipping the bread slices, just dip it well so that its coated well on both sides.Don’t let it rest then it will become soggy and will start sticking to the pan.
  • You can add any filling of your choice nutella or cheese or peanut butter or with any fruits too.
  • I used mixed fruit jam you can use any favorite filling.

Hi Sharmi, Superb receipe and fanastic photos. Kannalee parthalee sapadanum polla irrukku. Unga camara unga manasula irrukkarathai apadiyee visuvalaa kattuthu. Such a tempting shots. No wonder Mittu took it fast.
Me & my daughter browsed your site for evening snacks and so happy to see these French toast roll ups. All the items are at home and we both started making it happily. Really came out perfect & so tasty. We started making more variations as per your notes too…1. Mixed nuts(almond, cashew, pista, walnut) and raisins with honey 2.Nutella with roasted almonds 3. Dates & almonds with strawberry jam . Your coco powder worked nicely. All kids like it more than cinnamon powder b'coz its strong smell. We wont eat egg so your custard powder – eggless really made me very happy. We used for some rolls Panankalkandu podi,it gave a different taste.
Thank you again for such a wonderful, easy to cook receipe. Thanks from me and my daughter Shree. Mittu your bangles are so cute.
