PinDark Chocolate Fudge – I love trying homemade chocolates. Actually I have tried many methods with different ingredients but couldn’t get the exact taste and texture I expected. After many trial and errors this recipe I framed recently is going to be my keeper.

As its holidays made these Homemade Dark Chocolates for the kids. These chocolates are fudgy, soft and has a melt in the mouth texture, they are not like storebought ones like cadbury etc.But trust me the chocolates will vanish in no time and you will be nagged again to make these 🙂 Yes I made these 3 times in 2 days for the kids and to share it with mittus friend too. As its very easy you can make them anytime, does not involve any complicated steps too.

And New year is around the corner so sweet edu kondadu.

    Ingredients

    • 1/8 cup milk powder
    • 1/8 cup butter
    • 3 tbsp powdered sugar
    • 1 and 1/2 tbsp dark cocoa powder
    • 1/8 tsp vanilla essence

*You can replace dark cocoa with normal coco powder

      Instructions

      • To a mixing bowl - add milk powder and coco powder. Mix well and set aside.
      • Heat a sauce pan with 2 cups of water, when water boils rigorously take a heat proof bowl and keep on the sauce pan so that the bottom of the bowl doesn't touch the water.
      • Simmer the flame - then add butter.
      • Once butter melts add powdered sugar immediately.
      • Use a whisk and mix well without lumps, now add milk powder coco mixture. Mix it.
      • Add vanilla essence and switch off. Do not overcook. Now fill the chocolate moulds with the chocolate mixture. Press well with a spoon.
      • Refrigerate for 30mins, then demould and serve. Enjoy Dark Chocolate Fudge!

      Notes

      • These chocolates seems to be hard when taken out from the fridge but when you bit it will be soft and fudgy.
      • If the climate is hot I will recommend storing them in fridge incase if you have anything remaining.
      • You can replace dark cocoa with normal coco powder too in that case add 2 tbsp coco powder to get that intense chocolate flavour.
      • I tried with both silicon moulds and plastic sheets but silicon mould is a winner for me.
      • When butter starts to melt and is in liquid state, start the process, be quick else butter will turn to ghee and the taste will not be good.
