Idli Upma Recipe - Upma with Leftover Idli

Idli Upma Recipe
We always end up using leftover idlis in idli upma or idli podi toast. Sometimes I make idlis in bulk to use the leftover for next days breakfast as its quick to put it together. I love any upma variety bread upma or even wheat rava upma. It is really interesting to see how a simple boring idli turns into this colorful upma...ahh guess I've started admiring food more only after I started photographing it :) Now lets learn how to make idli upma

Serve it hot or warm. It tastes good by itself but if you prefer you can have it with coconut chutney.
Upma with Leftover Idli

My Notes:

  • Instead of green chillies, you can even add red chillies.
  • You can add a tsp of coconut with onions which gives a nice flavour.
  • Add a tsp of idli podi along with the idlis to get a different flavour.
