Have been working on minor changes for the site, colors and the placement of widgets. One thing that was worrying me for long was I found the site a bit cluttered....was thinking and trying many methods but nothing satisfied me. Finally this tabbing worked :) Now tell me ur suggestion/feedback on the new minor changes.
One of my fav combination:Peas Pulav with gobi 65. Here goes the recipe from my kitchen :

Grilled Gobi 65 Recipe
Ingredients:- Cauliflower -1 medium sized flower
- Cornflour - 1/2 cup
- Maida - 2 tbsp
- Ginger Garlic paste - 3 tsp
- Red chilly powder - 1tsp
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Salt - to taste
Method:
- Half boil cauliflower in water with 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, keep aside. Then mix all the above ingredients with little water to form a thick batter. Dip in the cauliflower florets and marinate it for 15-30mins.
- Spread 1 tsp of oil on the baking sheet. Place the marinated pieces on the prepared baking sheet.
- Preheat the oven at 200 deg C for 10 mins and Grill it for 15-20 mins in broil/grill mode turning over in between.

My Notes : Turn over the gobis to the other side after 10-15mins for the gobis to cook evenly.Closely keep an eye as it gets burnt easily.Guilt free grilled gobis are ready so no more deep fries. They are very crispy even without deep frying...Isnt that gud?!
These grilled gobis are perfect to be used for manchurians or to be eaten as such :)

Tempting......

ReplyDeleteMy Personal experience to use atleast 1/4th the amount of coconut milk for the amount of water( if u use 2 cups water use 1/4 cup of coconut milk) and avoid onion it will taste awesome. Do try and let me know!
ReplyDeleteHi Sharmi, I tried this grilled gobi.. It took so long and never came to golden brown color..Is it some problem with my microwave..can you pls help
ReplyDeleteDid you try in microwave grill mode? I use a OTG and in grill mode it browns so fast.
DeleteHi sharmi, I follow your blog regularly and have tried few baking recipes. i tried crispy cauliflower fries in my oven as mentioned in your post. mine is a OTG oven. i followed the same steps but my cauliflower was no where looking crispy. how was the taste of yours when done in grill mode? my cauliflower was just cooked but taste wise also was bad so i had to throw it out. can you suggest what went wrong. i really want to try in grill mode .
ReplyDelete@Gayathri : As its parboiled it will cook faster...and in grill mode we have to take care not to burn it too...Mine was crispy but sure cant be compared to the deep fried ones. Really not sure what went wrong....
ReplyDeleteHi Sharmi.... I recently tried few of your recipes and they were amazing. The beauty of your recipe is that you have posted them with pictures which is easy to capture... Thanks a lot, please keep posting your recipes.
